This book is very interactive and engaging, as it encourages readers to be active by giving them various things to do while reading. For example: "Rub the dot" and "tap" certain dots. Children will love having the little tasks to do while they read, keeping them entertained and providing an enjoyable reading experience.
Children could also write their own versions to share with their friends. Teachers could perhaps use this book as a tool to help encourage children to read if they are reluctant, as it turns reading into a game rather than work.
Links could be made to the computing curriculum, as children could create stories with animation using programmes like 2Create a Story on purple mash.
