Types of Fiction

Myths:

Traditional story often relates to early history or explains natural/social phenomenon

Legends:

Traditional story popularly thought to be historical but not authenticated

Fables:

Short story with a moral often animals used as characters

Mysteries:

Novel, play, film - deals with a puzzling crime, especially murder

Adventure:

Unusual/exciting/daring experience/event or series of events that happens outside of ordinary life

Horror:

Frightening, scary, disgust, shock
