This is a great book to read aloud to a class, as long as the reader is expressive and animated. Everything that is written in the book must be read by the person reading it aloud - this leads to the reader saying nonsense words and even singing a song!
Children will find this very funny and engaging, even without any pictures. By not having any pictures this can help promote a love of reading to children and progress them on towards more difficult texts than picture books, because this particular book with no pictures provides a very positive, comedic experience. From this, I think children would be more willing to read books with less or no pictures.
A possible activity could be for children to write their own book with no pictures, or to illustrate the book themselves to show their understanding.
