Writing stimulus idea

Provide a writing stimulus to generate some creative and imaginative ideas among your pupils. This could be multi-modal using images, sounds, text and smells for example to stimulate the children's senses and engage them to use their imagination and develop some ideas to use in their writing. Try to create an experience for your class.

From a haunted house image like above some ideas that could be suggested are:

midnight

lonely

anxious

stumble up a path

terrified

scary

storm

thunder and lightening

darkness

heart beat racing

sweating

out of breath

running away from something unkown - can hear it coming

dusty cobwebs

spiders crawling

mansion with tombstones
